ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan committed to the timely completion of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project together with regional countries.
The prime minister expressed these views in a meeting with Rasit Meredow, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, who called on him in Islamabad this afternoon.

Expressing satisfaction with the recent 3rd Round of Pakistan-Turkmenistan Bilateral Political Consultations led by both Foreign Ministers, Shehbaz Sharif underscored the importance of regular engagements through institutional mechanisms between the two nations.
He emphasized the need for bolstered trade, economic cooperation, investment, and cultural exchanges between Pakistan and Turkmenistan.
The Prime Minister warmly recalled his recent meeting with Turkmenistan’s Grand Leader, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in Astana earlier this month. He expressed anticipation for welcoming Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Pakistan in the near future.
